Script Open Close: (대본수정) <The cultural heritage of Goryeo, which Stands at the End of Forest Trail, The Octagonal Nine-story Stone Pagoda of Woljeongsa Temple, Pyeongchang> The cultural heritage of Goryeo, which Stands at the End of Forest Trail, The Octagonal Nine-story Stone Pagoda of Woljeongsa Temple, Pyeongchang Odaesan Mountain / Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do There is a 1km forest trail, which is lined with needle firs, between Iljumun Gate and Cheonwnagmun Gate in Woljeongsa Temple. The forest, which is within the precincts of Woljeongsa Temple, has almost 1,700 needle firs, most of which are more than 80 years old. Walking along the trail helps you slow down and clear your mind, before arriving at Cheonwangmun Gate. Woljeongsa Temple in Odaesan Mountain / Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do The Octagonal Nine-story Stone Pagoda of Woljeongsa Temple, Pyeongchang (National Treasure No. 48) / This is a stone pagoda that shows the noble characteristics of Buddihist culture in the early Goryeo Period. The finial ornament of the pagoda has been preserved in perfect condition, and a wind chime is attached to each corner of the roof stones, which add beauty to the pagoda. The relics date back to the 10th-11th centuries and represent the marvelous culture of metalcraft that prevailed in the early Goryeo Period. The Octagonal Nine-Story Stone Pagoda of Woljeongsa Temple in Pyeongchang is a place where relics from the Goryeo Period are well preserved.
