Script Open Close: Mt. Seoraksan’s Ulsanbawi, or Ulsan Rock, the fence of Outer (Mt.) Seoraksan Mt. Seoraksan seen from Sokcho City The third highest mountain in Korea, Mt. Seoraksan, especially Outer (Mt.) Seoraksan, east of the Gongryong Ridge of the mountain shows the country’s best mountain landscape beauty. On the right of the Misiryeong Pass, there is a giant Byeongpoong Bawi, or Folding Screen Rock. Mountain Seoraksan’s Ulsanbawi, or Ulsan Rock, The KoreanScenic Site No. 100 Located on the border of between Sokcho City and Koseong County of Kangwon Province, Ulsan Bawi,or Ulsan Rock is a rocky mountain, which is named after its straight-running shaped fence. The vertical rocky peaks and diverse columnar joints of the colossal Ulsan Bawi, spanning over 4 kilometers in circumference are formed from prolonged weathering, which make viewers exclaims from admiration. Going up the staircases in the cliff on the south of the Ulsan Bawi., you can reach its peak. The eastern peak on summit of Ulsan Bawi In summer, oftentimes, the sea of clouds which is formed in the East Sea swarm the Outer Mountain Seorak. The appearance of the Ulsan Bawi surrounded by a sea of clouds is reminiscent of a huge fence. Appreciating the fence-typed rock blocking a sea of clouds of Outer (Mountain) Seorak
