The colony of yews in Mt. Sobaek is located in the west from the top of Mt. Sobaek.
This is a representative colony of yews in Korea
and 3,800 yews grow in Mt. Sobaek.
Yews are named after their red stems and
grow in higher mountains, having a longer life.
Yews in Mt. Sobaek are bent by strong winds and
their branches are wound and took a peculiar shape.
Even though the branches seem to be dead,
the green leaves show a strong life force.
Yews do not decay well and you can see the yews
which keep their seats even after death in Mt. Sobaek.
