It took the current shape as a consequence that volcanic ejecta was piled over due to the eruption of a volcanic undersea approximately 1.8 million years ago. and again the waves cut it for tens of thousands years. Walking along the coast, you are able to see the marine cliff with grotesque shapes by harmonizing with rough waves. The Coast of Yongmeori which has been piled variously and has been cut and worn in layers makes you feel the mystery of nature. A giant sculpture which times carved The Coast of Yongmeori Sagye-ri, Jeju Province Yosujeong South Gyeongsang Province's Tangible Cultural Asset No. 423. Yosujeong which is able to cast a glance of the magnificent scenery of Suseungdae is the place where Yosu, Shin Gwon, the scholar in the Joseon Dynasty enjoyed the arts and taught his students.
